Antique Victorian Era Slipper Chair with Ebonized Finish in Castle Rock, Washington For Sale

This is called a "Slipper Chair" and was used so a person could sit and pull on shoes without the hindrance of arms on its side. The chair was likely in the Dressing Room of a Victorian household.
This chair probably dates from the xxxx's. It has the original button tufted upholstered seat with horsehair padding. All paint is original.
My mother purchased this chair many years ago. She said it came from the estate of Averell Harriman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Averell_Harriman
Keep in mind that a slipper chair is much smaller than a traditional chair and the seat is closer to the ground.
The chair is 21" wide at the front and 18" wide at the back. Seat height is 14". It's 19" deep and 30-1/2" tall.
